Last week the Horizon Awards luncheon took place at Las Vegas' Stardust Hotel. During the event Centex Homes received the "Crystal Air Award" in reflection of the
Las Vegas home builder's outstanding achievement in the field of air quality control. The award, presented to the developer by the Department of Air Quality and Environmental Management and the Clark County Commission, is quite an accomplishment!
Daniel Tecca, the builder's environmental compliance manager, stated that, "Everyone at our sites is dedicated to these programs. We work closely with regulators to understand their needs and incorporate them into our policies, and it's working very well. The full support I receive from Division President Brad Burns and Vice President of Operations John Yturri has made it easy to get these policies and programs implemented quickly, easily and cost effectively. All key managers have also bought into this and, in turn, it has increased environmental awareness companywide."
Best Management actions, as well as dust monitoring practices, have become more of a priority and Centex makes sure that there is someone checking on home sites daily.
Centex Homes has been building in the
Las Vegas real estate market for several years and has no intentions of stopping any time soon! They not only offer energy-efficient and environmentally-safe homes, but Centex also offers
Las Vegas home buyers closing cost incentives and two-year warranties as well.
